June 19     Summer Reading Skate Party

June 26     Hart’s Reptiles
Snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, bugs, tarantulas and more. You never know what the folks from Hart’s Reptile World are going to bring. This will be a hands-on reptile experience. July 3        Wildlife Safari
With so many animals to choose from, what will they bring? Here’s a hint. Something fast and something slow. Something that flies and something that crawls. Something from the desert and something from the tropics. Something bright and something dull. You don’t want to miss the chance to see these amazing animals up close. Everyone is welcome. July 10      Super Summer Craft #1: Piñatas
Feeling crafty? Come and create a pirate’s treasure chest piñata. Fill it with goodies, tie it up tight, and then take it home for the real fun of bashing it open. This craft is geared towards kids in grades 2-6, but younger children are welcome with adult help.

July 17      Super Summer Craft #2: Tie Dye (Bring a white cotton t-shirt)
Here’s another chance to get creative. Bring a white 100% cotton t-shirt and design your own masterpiece. Don’t worry, we’ll give you some basic instruction to get you started. Again, this craft is geared towards kids in grades 2-6, but younger children are welcome with adult help.

July 31     Dragon Theater
Portland’s fantastic Dragon Theater Puppets will be presenting their Rumpelstiltskin show. They won a Best of Portland award this year, so you don’t want to miss this entertaining program. Everyone is welcome. More info at www.dragontheater.com

August 7   Christopher Leebrick: Stories that rock!
