Our Mission

To maintain and improve the quality of life for all citizens of our community by providing free and equal access to ideas and diverse materials presented in various media formats, and to create an environment that serves as the learning and educational center of our community, supporting and encouraging lifelong learning, personal development, enrichment, recreation, and an overall informed citizenry.

The Dora Public Library is located at 56125 Goldbrick Road in the unincorporated area of Dora in Coos County, Oregon. We are a member of the Coos County Library Service District, along with seven other public libraries and Southwestern Community College Library. Through this cooperative effort, the Dora Public Library provides free services to all residents living within the Coos county boundaries.

The library holds over 15,000 materials including  books, audio books in CD and MP3 formats, and music. We subscribe to over 30 individual magazines and 2 local newspapers. More than 1300  DVD & Blu-Ray titles are also available for check-out.

In addition to these items, many people enter the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet through the Library’s satellite connection, or attend one of the Library’s events.

Our friendly and professional staff is eager to serve you. Welcome to the Public Library!
